What can we learn through art? 
アートから何を学ぶことができるか?
 

 
オープニングセッションでは、これまでのプログラムや経験をもとに、アートを使った学習の可能性について、YCAMと両氏の意見を聞きます。また、この対談シリーズの今後の展開についてもご紹介します。

 

In this opening session, we are hearing the opinions from YCAM and the two speakers on the possibilities of learning through art, based on their programs and experiences until now. The upcoming sessions of this talk series will also be introduced.

ほりうち なおこ/エジンバラ・カレッジ・オブ・アート現代美術論修士課程修了。2008年より、NPO法人アーツイニシアティヴトウキョウ[AIT/エイト]にてレジデンス・プログラムや展覧会、シンポジウム、企業プログラム、教育プログラムの企画に携わる。
ドクメンタ12マガジンズ・プロジェクト「メトロノーム11号 何をなすべきか?東京」(2007)アシスタント・キュレーター、「Home Again」(原美術館、2012)アソシエイト・キュレーター、国際交流基金主催による「Shuffling Space」展(タイ、2015) キュレーター、「Invisible Energy」(ニュージーランド、2015)共同キュレーターなどを務めるほか、アーカスプロジェクト (2013) 、パラダイスエア(2015、2016)、京都府アーティスト・イン・レジデンス事業(2017)などのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスプログラムのゲストキュレーターを務める。 2016年より、複雑な環境下にある子どもたちとアーティストをつなぐ「dear Me」プロジェクトを開始。アートや福祉の考えを通した講座やワークショップ、シンポジウムを企画する。

Works as a curator and lecturer at Arts Initiative Tokyo (AIT). After completing an MSc in Contemporary Art and Art Theory at Edinburgh College of Art in 2005, she worked as an independent curator in Edinburgh, curating Aiko Miyanaga’s solo exhibition  (2007, Sleeper Gallery, Edinburgh), and was an assistant curator of Metronome Think Tank Tokyo in collaboration with Documenta 12 magazines (2006). At AIT, she has curated and coordinated several art education programs and corporate art projects, and residency programme-related exhibitions in Japan, Thailand, Scotland, and New Zealand. She was a guest curator of Kyoto Re-Search in Maizuru (2017), PARADISE AIR (2015/2016), and ARCUS Project (2013). Since 2016, she has been organizing AIT’s new program called ‘dear Me,’ an alternative art learning platform directed towards children in various living situations.

Akigo Tsuguchi


 

つぐち あきご/1976年広島県生まれ。鞆の津ミュージアム学芸員。東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科修士課程修了。放課後等デイサービス勤務を経て、2013年に館の運営母体である社会福祉法人 創樹会へ入職。入所施設の生活支援員として働いたのち、現在も館内で行われる創作活動に関わりながら、展覧会の企画・運営を行う。企画した展覧会に『凸凹の凹凸』『Re:解体新書』『原子の現場』『世界の集め方』『文体の練習』『かたどりの法則』『ここの出来事』『私物の在処』『きょうの雑貨』など。 人生にねざした独自の創作的表現に関心がある。

Born 1976 in Hiroshima. Curator at Tomonotsu Museum. Completed a Masterʼs course at the Tokyo University of the Arts. Worked at a facility for children with special needs, and joined Soujukai, the mother welfare-organization that operates the museum, in 2013. Initially being involved with day care of people with disabilities, he is today in charge of curating exhibitions, while at once engaging in their art activities at the museum. He is particularly interested in private forms of creative practice that are rooted in one’s life.
